Improvisation sequences (28th January 2020)

Today we were given images by Mr. Gibson to create a short performance off of using stimuli. Here is my image:

I had an plan for this which included a sage figure recounting the story of a once prosperous land to a group of children before the figure passes away. Then, an “executive” arrives on the scene and wants to take the very same land before he gets killed by a tree. While the story was confusing, I felt as if it followed the rules of the activity correctly compared to other sequences we performed that day as well as being more strange. Theatre should allow someone to discover themselves in unusual circumstances instead of everyday scenarios, and I’ll advocate for that always as I think it’s helped me discover myself in many ways.
